Arfin, A man living in El Paso, Texas was surprised when he got a knock on his door from U.S. Border Patrol on a random Tuesday morning. They claimed they'd received a tip about immigrants living in his home and demanded to search the property. The man complied and let them in. As a reward for his cooperation, the agents shot and killed his dog and then left.
The man gave the agents permission to search his home, but told them he needed to lock his beloved Rottweiler dog, Chop, in the bathroom for everyone's safety first. So what did the agents do? They went right to the bathroom door, opened it, and shot Chop dead. They apparently didn't even attempt to help the bleeding animal afterwards.
Chop's heartbroken owner later took a video of the blood trails left behind. He had adopted Chop when he was only a puppy, and they'd spent a beautiful seven years together.
He has since issued a statement, which reads in part: "I rushed back inside to find him bleeding on the floor, and he died in my arms after nearly an hour of suffering. I am heartbroken over the loss of my dog, and I want the public to know that I took every precaution to cooperate with Border Patrol and to keep Chop safe."
We must not allow these agents to think they are above the law and that they can get away with killing a family's beloved pet! Sign the petition to demand these Border Patrol agents be fired and charged with criminal animal cruelty! |
