| Hi Arfin, Here's the latest Care2 eCards update! DID YOU KNOW? Sukkot, also known as the Feast of Booths or Feast of Tabernacles, is a Biblical holiday celebrated on the 15th day of the month of Tishrei. A sukkot (plural of sukkah) is a walled structure covered with plant material, schach. The sukkah is intended to remind you of the simple dwellings where the Israelites slept during their 40 years in the desert following the Exodus from Egypt. During the holiday, meals are eaten in the sukkah and many spend the night there as well. | |
