Oakland-based organizations and activists are sounding the alarm on theterrifying rate of abduction of Black girls and women in the city.Of the 1,500 people that are missing in Oakland, nearly one third of them are Black women — a wildly disproportionate and alarming rate.
Luckily, justice is already being pursued. If signed into law, Senate Bill 673 would establish an 'ebony alert' and help dedicate more energy and resources to finding Black girls and women that are missing across California.
We must put pressure on California legislators to pass a bill that would help locate Black youth and Black women statewide! Add your name and join the fight.
