Over the past week, we have heard countless stories of the devastation Hurricane Helene wrought across the southeastern United States. One story in particular has not only underscored the catastrophic effects of climate change, but also the abominable response by certain corporations.
Survivors recalled that management dismissed their concerns when power went out in the facility and the parking lot began to flood. As the situation escalated and the only way out started to disappear, workers were trapped and left vulnerable to the floodwaters. Some were swept away as they attempted to escape.
P.S. Workers became trapped in a factory during Hurricane Helene after their employer allegedly told them not to evacuate until it was too late, resulting in multiple deaths. Sign for justice.
