Arfin,
As we head into the busiest shopping season of the year, we must remember the stark contrast between the holiday cheer we are being sold and what workers are enduring behind the scenes — specifically, workers at Amazon.
While higher-ups like CEO Andy Jassy and founder Jeff Bezos rake in profits, Amazon workers continue to suffer from low pay, brutal conditions, and an utter disregard for their rights.
This Black Friday and Cyber Monday, workers in over 20 countries went on strike, demanding better pay, improved rights, fair taxation, and real action on climate change. Instead of supporting their employees, Amazon has downplayed the protests and attacked their credibility, all while reaping massive profits at the expense of their workers' well-being.
Amazon workers are pushed to their limits with unsafe conditions, long hours, and little support. It's time for Amazon to pay its workers fairly, while also contributing its fair share in taxes and truly acting on climate change.
Sign the petition to demand Amazon do better this holiday season!
