Arfin,
At a woman's home in Joaquin county, California, more than one-third of the 153 animals she had accumulated were dead.
When authorities made contact with the woman, documents allege that she actively threatened them. Meanwhile, reports suggest she was severely neglecting and malnourishing her animals.
By the time authorities finally received permission to search the property's premise, they discovered 90 horses five donkeys and three alpacas still alive. But there one dog, one cow, and 53 horses had already died.
Even worse — rescuers had to euthanize 15 of the surviving animals because she had neglected them so badly. The rest of the animals are undergoing intensive treatments to nurse them back to health.
It's unclear how this woman accumulated so many animals to begin with, but from now on, we have to protect other animals by preventing her from accumulating any more.
