Then, they fled, leaving the poor little dog alone and frightened. A witness saw this occur and rushed over to check on the puppy. It had vomited after the attack and was drooling from the violence and pain. The witness checked with multiple neighbors to see if anyone knew who the puppy belonged to, but no one recognized it. Who knows how many more animals they have abused and inflicted such cruelty on? In an interview on CNN, Republican Congressman Rich McCormick of Georgia had the audacity to not only defend the dangerous move, but to also suggest the most morbid idea for the children who would go hungry without the school lunches provided by federal aid. "You're telling me that kids who stay at home instead of going to work at Burger King, McDonald's, during the summer, should stay at home and get their free lunch instead of going to work? I think we need to have a top-down review."   McCormick's idea to make hungry children work for food is neither backed by compassion nor science. We know from research that hungry kids do worse in school; they struggle to pay attention, retain information, and solve problems. Why, then, would we assume they would be happy and successful if, on top of all of that, they had to start working an adult job? She let 53 horses, a dog, and a cow die of neglect

Sign Now    Arfin,   At a woman's home in Joaquin county, California, more than one-third of the 153 animals she had accumulated were dead.   When authorities made contact with the woman, documents allege that she actively threatened them. Meanwhile, reports suggest she was severely neglecting and malnourishing her animals.   By the time authorities finally received permission to search the property's premise, they discovered 90 horses five donkeys and three alpacas still alive. But there one dog, one cow, and 53 horses had already died.   Even worse — rescuers had to euthanize 15 of the surviving animals because she had neglected them so badly. The rest of the animals are undergoing intensive treatments to nurse them back to health.
