Sign Now    Arfin,   Surrounded by snakes and alligators in a swelteringly hot swamp, approximately 900 people have been crammed into a hastily-constructed camp of plastic tents and metal cages in the middle of the Florida Everglades. In only 8 days, authorities set up a camp that currently can hold around 3,000 humans — and with the intention of housing even more in the upcoming weeks and months. While Trump and his cronies laugh about having created 'Alligator Alcatraz,' very real human beings have been shoved into facilities with maggots in their sparse food, intense overheating, and so few showers, people have to wake up at 3am to get the chance to bathe — or risk going another week without being clean. The camp's tents each have multiple cages, with 32 humans locked in per cage. Each cage has 3 open-air toilet-sink combination units, in which the drinking water emerges from a faucet on the back of the toilet's tank. There is no privacy or shielding. To drink water, you must first wait for one of the other 32 individuals to finish using the toilet. Even worse: many of the toilets won't flush, leading to serious sanitation issues. And that's just what we actually know. Because Florida and ICE have been trying to prevent lawmakers from learning more. First, they blocked members of Congress from touring the facilities at all. Then, once lawmakers filed a lawsuit, authorities finally allowed them in — but only into the sections that are currently empty and awaiting more bodies to fill them. Lawmakers weren't even allowed to see the so-called "medical" section at all. This is not justice. This is not humane. This is inconceivable and morally unjustifiable. We must not sit quietly while this situation escalates. Apollo the dog tried to flee to safety, but his poor emaciated body didn't get far

His previous owner tied him up outside and left him there while he slowly starved to death. In fact, he had such a zest and a spark for life that he actively fought to get away from a dangerously negligent situation — only to still pass away anyway. His owner had apparently tied him up outside and simply left him there, for an unknown period of time. It was long enough that eventually he was on the verge of starvation. In a final effort to find health and freedom, he miraculously managed to break away. The poor pup tried to run towards a better life, but he was so badly emaciated, he couldn't get very far. He made it to the side of the road before falling over and collapsing into a ditch. A caring passerby noticed Apollo lying by the road and called rescue authorities. A veterinary technician took him in as her own and fostered him, providing 24-hour care for the sickly animal. Unfortunately, though, he wasn't able to survive beyond another week. His former owner has been found and charged with animal abuse. We must make sure to also keep other animals safe from this person and ban them from animal ownership! People are dying in record numbers in ICE custody

Thirteen people have already died in ICE custody in 2025 alone. That's more deaths than the past three administrations have seen. A 75-year-old Cuban man who had lived in the U.S. for 60 years. A 45-year-old from Mexico who was discovered "with a ligature around his neck," whose death is still under investigation. A 49-year-old Canadian who was found unresponsive, his government still demanding answers. And still, ICE keeps filling its detention facilities past capacity, locking people up in horrendous conditions just to meet the Trump administration's mass deportation goals. More than 56,000 people are currently trapped in ICE's brutal jails. That's 140% over capacity, and experts say that deteriorating conditions in these overcrowded facilities are part of the reason that people are dying so rapidly.  Many immigrants are detained without charges. The overwhelming majority have never committed a crime. And some never make it out alive. Congress cannot keep giving taxpayer dollars to an agency built on fascism, fear, and now…death. Keep animals safe from a man who beat his dog then shot it in the head

He was already a felon. How was he able to get a gun to shoot and kill his dog? He Shot His Dog in the Head After Beating It With a Pipe. Ban Him From Animal Ownership! Sign Now    Arfin, On a recent Sunday night in Iowa, several people witnessed a man using a pipe to beat his dog. That was already disturbing enough — but then they heard a gunshot. By the time authorities arrived, they found the dog trying its best to survive. It was — miraculously — still upright, staggering around. But they could already see he had a severe wound on his head. A veterinarian confirmed someone had shot it right in its head. Unfortunately, the dog wasn't able to live. Its injuries were simply too severe. Authorities were able to identify the owner, who was also the gunsman and the same man who had been beating the dog earlier. The man even confessed, saying: "he was angry that the dog had bit the other dog and his girlfriend, so he got the gun and shot the dog." The man has been charged with animal abuse, but authorities need to immediately ensure he does not have access to any other animals. That's what's at risk if the Trump administration gets its way. Since 2001, the "roadless rule" has protected nearly 60 million acres of wild forest in the U.S. from road construction, logging, drilling, and mining. These lands are full of life — like ancient old-growth trees, black bears, wolves, and thousands of other species of plants and animals. These forests are also essential in the fight against climate change. But that's all being threatened by a shameful, greedy decision by the Trump administration to repeal the "roadless rule" and let development industries strip these precious lands of all they have. Companies could soon be cutting down centuries-old trees, destroying animal homes, and polluting clean rivers. We wouldn't be losing just trees — we'd be losing entire ecosystems.   Future generations would lose the chance to experience untouched nature. Not to mention this would remove some of the best protections we have against climate catastrophe!
