Dear Arfin,

Last week, police attacked a Tunisian woman and her fiance. While some officers took the fiance to an ATM and demanded cash, another raped the woman in the couple's car.

Now, to add insult to injury, the police are charging the woman with indecency to evade conviction.

The police say they found the woman in an "immoral position" and want to charge her with "intentional indecent behavior." But the only indecent and immoral actions in this whole scenario were the police's reckless, inhumane and cruel sexual assault of an innocent woman.

The consequences are serious. If convicted the couple could face six months of jail time while the rapists get off scot free. That's not what I call justice.

Authorities can't let the police get away with serious crimes. Tell Magistrate Mohamed Ben Meftah to drop the indecency charges and prosecute the police officers for rape.
