Dear Arfin,

Protestors are camped out in the Rohanne Forest in France, determined to stop a new airport that would ruin the countryside. Support them by telling Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault to abandon the airport construction plan.

Building this airport makes no sense. Take some of the most basic considerations that go into the decision to build something new.

- Does it hurt the environment? This proposed airport would not only destroy the Rohanne Forest, but it would add air traffic and all the global warming-causing emissions that come with it.

- Does it make sense economically? The airport would cost an enormous 556 million euros. Can the government really justify that expense in a time of austerity, which is making it harder and harder to pay for the basic services people need?

- Do people want it? I think the protestors should answer that question with an emphatic NO.

Tell the French government you stand with the protestors and want the Rohanne forest more than an expensive, destructive airport.
