Dear Arfin,

Every dog owner hopes that their dog never bites another dog -- but sometimes accidents happen. When a Danish Alsatian named Thor bit a dog who startled him on a walk, his owner apologetically paid a fine and made sure the other dog got to the vet safely. But when the other dog's injury got infected, Danish police used it as a justification for sentencing Thor to death.

Thor's newly widowed owner was heartbroken to learn that Thor was to be put down, even though he passed several behavioral tests proving that he wasn't a danger to any other humans or dogs. Just when it seemed like Thor was going to be killed, a police assistant named Lars Bo Lomholt swept in to rescue him from the kennel where he was being held. Now, Lars is in danger of losing his job.

Lars didn't want Thor's elderly owner to lose her dearest friend, and he didn't think Thor should die because of a loophole. He shouldn't be fired for doing what he believed was right.

Tell Danish officials not to fire Lars for saving Thor the dog's life!
