| Hi Arfin, Here's your latest eCards update! DID YOU KNOW? Initially known as the "Prayer and Remembrance for the Victims of the Terrorist Attacks on September 11, 2001", Patriot Day is designated in memory of the 2,977 people that perished in the attacks. On this day, the President directs that the American flag be flown at half-staff on all U.S. government buildings, the White House and at individual American homes. The President also asks Americans to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 AM (EDT), the moment the first plane struck World Trade Center's North Tower on September 11, 2001. | |
